Our Work

PBC's first significant Historic Restoration project in 1999. The circa 1890s building was literally falling apart from neglect. This project was a perfect pairing of young PBC needing a signature project and an inexperienced developer who needed a builder they could trust to fill in the many grey areas inherent of this work.

The Peyton Barlow Co. was honored to be part of creating Hilary's House. The Hilary Grace Foundation in partnership with Horizon Village spearheaded the vision of Hilary's House, a place where patients and families are welcome to connect, rebuild, and relax while they are in treatment. Horizon Village is WNY’s largest treatment center for those battling substance use disorder. For over 45 years, Horizon has treated individuals and their families dealing with substance use and/or mental health disorders. Hilary’s House will allow programming that benefits all Horizon Village residents.

Peyton Barlow was fortunate to have been low bidder on the first and last three phases of this historically significant project; and completed the renovations while working side by side with Nancy Redeye of Flynn Battaglia Architecture.

Peyton Barlow jumped at the unique opportunity to save an historic WNY barn and repurpose the structure for the Buffalo Zoo's Heritage Farm Exhibit. Working along with many local specialty subcontractors, the project became a labor of love. Today it is a favorite exhibit for many, as it pays tribute to our farming past complete with pasture, Erie Canal and a packet boat exhibit.

Arguably a pioneering venture into adaptive reuse of Historic Structures in 2005. PBC was given the opportunity to manage not only the construction, but also the development team for the Obletz Family. Five historic buildings in deplorable condition, and one new three story concrete plank addition woven together to provide the catalyst for the future redevelopment of Main Street.
